Girlfriend got scammed all her money via phone caller posing as Canadian government and using fake police officers to get her to transfer her money to them via Bitcoin money machine
My girlfriend got a call from someone posing as the Canadian government saying people had stolen her identity and was allegedly in millions of dollars for debt, they transfered her call to a fake police officer that told her there was an arrest warrant out for her, they knew her address and the last part of her social insurance number. They told her the only way to fix it was to take all her money out of her account to freeze it so the identity thiefs couldn't use her account, and move all her money into a "government safety deposit machine" which was located in a gas station or something. She believed every word they said because she was scared of being arrested, but later questioned it and learned from a friend that her money was on a Bitcoin website or app and it had been converted to US dollars but hasn't yet been taken out of the account. She filed reports to the Bitcoin app saying that that account had stolen money, she called them, the police, the store owner where she took her money, but no one could, or was willing to help her. Now I turn to the infinite kindness and wisdom of Reddit. I don't think there's much hope but I'm willing to put what little hope I have onto Reddit.

Got an email asking for bitcoin money to delete compromising video [France]
(I had to re-upload this thread since apparently my country was not showing properly) Hi, I'm a 20 y.o woman and someone that (I assume to be a scammer or an hacker) sended me an email saying that he has a compromising video of me while watching a porn website (I don't go to any of these website and didn't send any nude or any videos) and that I needed to pay 2000$ via bitcoin and if I don't the video will be sent to ten people that I am in contact with. He also said That he hacked my Facebook account (changed my password to a really difficult one for safety). It's also said that I have 24 hours to pay and if I don't I know what will Happen. The mail is also written with a weird font that Is not well detected on my phone and is in English and I am French and there's a lot of mistakes, I doubt that this email is true and that there's no video of anything or anyone but I wonder if the police can do anything about these Kind of email? It scares me to get another one Thanks for your help, it will be very much appreciated.
I bought a very small amount of Bitcoin in 2014, and more or less forgot about it since then. I would really appreciate some help on how to recover my funds, if possible. This is all I know:
I vaguely remember using a site called Bittylicious (I think to buy the bitcoin)
I don't remember what service I used to create a bitcoin wallet
I have kept what seems to be a wallet code of some kind (is this what I use for recovery?). It is a little over 700 characters. The file in which it is saved gives what seems to be the date of the transaction, and ends with "aes.json".
I'm very aware that this might all sound ridiculous to someone versed on how this all works, but would really appreciate some pointers on what to do to recover the funds.
